A man has died after a road train crashed with a car towing a caravan.

A man has died after a road train crashed with a car towing a caravan.
Emergency services responded to the serious crash involving a vehicle towing a caravan and a road train.
Paramedics assessed the driver of the car, who suffered critical injuries, but he died at the scene.
The truck driver was assessed for minor injuries.
Police have asked motorists to avoid the crash on the Barkly Hwy near Fountain Springs Rd, Cloncurry.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman crews were alerted to the crash halfway between Cloncurry and Mount Isa at 11.20am.
The impact of the crash caused the vehicle towing the caravan to roll, a Queensland Police spokesman said.
The forensic crash unit is investigating.
