Mr Byrne said the allocated funding hasn’t been exhausted and there’s plenty of support still available for eligible businesses whov’e experienced ongoing hardship since the weather event.

“One of the things out of the flood is diversifying, I say to clients you’ve got to have another strategy,”

“The really big thing is trying to get everybody, no matter who they are over to digital.”

Small businesses may be eligible for Small Business Disaster Recovery Grants of up to $10,000 to engage high-level expertise to help them recover and rebuild business confidence.

Mr Byrne urged local business owners to reach out, even if they weren’t sure of their eligibility.

“The fact that we have the networks and contacts means we place the business at advantage to grow,

“By nature what we do is were very skilled at doing the business analysis and we’ve got a range of experience in a whole range of industries.”
