Art and coffee lovers are being urged to hop into Townsville Shopping Centre before Easter Sunday to score coffee mugs featuring unique designs by local artists with in-store spends of more than $60.
“These aren’t your average, run-of-the-mill freebies,” centre manager Kelly Taylor-Smith said.
“They’re exclusive, locally crafted pieces celebrating Townsville’s own home-grown art.”
The cups are available for shoppers who spend at least $60 at specialty stores in the centre and present receipts at the Customer Care desk before Sunday, April 27.
Each ‘Masterpiece on a Mug’ features a design as unique as the local artists themselves, from a modern bunny girl by Emily Ingham to an Easter wallaby by Nicky “Bidju” Pryor.
“We’re all proudly local at Townsville Shopping Centre and we love supporting home-grown talent, and it doesn’t get more local than conceptualised, designed and even printed right here in Townsville,” Ms Taylor-Smith said.
Ingham said she would be stoked if customers wanted one of her mugs.
“If someone sipped from my mug, I’d want them to feel bubbly and happy – like everything’s a little brighter and cuter for a moment.”
