Paramedics are treating at least one patient at the scene of an incident on the Riverway Drive off ramp of the Townsville Ring Road
Emergency services were called to the scene just after 7pm.
It is understood the incident could involve a vehicle and a pedestrian.
A police spokesman said the person was conscious and breathing, but no other details were available.
The incident has not closed any lanes, however Qld Traffic suggests there could be delays.
Two injured in two Townsville scooter incidents: QAS
A young child was one of two people badly injured in scooter accidents in Townsville on Sunday night.
Queensland Ambulance Service said that in the first incident in Bohle, a primary school-aged boy suffered a head injury in a scooter crash on Clay St at 5.59pm.
Paramedics transported the child to Townsville University hospital in a stable condition.
In the second incident in North Ward, a woman in her 20s suffered arm and leg injuries in an E-scooter crash on The Strand at 11.29pm.
She was taken to TUH in a stable condition.
