Mr Williams has been offered a place in a bachelor of advanced science at JCU after achieving an OP 4 and said all the sacrifices and sleepless nights he endured were worth it.
“I feel over the moon and I also feel relived because all my hard work has paid off,” Mr Williams said.
“I like to give back to other people and I want to educate as much as I can so I am looking towards teaching or professing of some kind so I will be continuing on to do my masters.”
Ms Walton said she was thrilled to end the year on a high after being accepted into a bachelor of education after graduating with an OP 3.
“It feels fantastic … I get to do the thing I have imagined myself doing since I was tiny,” she said.
“I want to be a teacher because I am passionate about education and I want to empower the next generation of students to be aware of what is going on in the world.”
