“There will never be anyone quite like Mr. Muller. It was a pleasure knowing you and for giving me the fond memories as my teacher, rugby coach and many more memories of our TGS rugby tours,” Kirkman James said.

“Very saddened to hear about this. He would have had in impact on thousands of students, myself included. He had time for everyone and there was no hidden agendas, he was always honest and reassuring with you and understood being a teenager can be a difficult time of life,” Simon Holmes-Evans said.

Bill retired from full time service in 1998 but remained deeply involved with Townsville Grammar, indulging in his love of history to become the school’s first archivist.

“His many articles chronicled as “From the Archives” as well as the publications providing background information on Past Grammarians’ wartime service are a tribute to his skills and dedication to the School,” the school’s tribute read.

Bill was deeply involved with the Past Grammarians Association.

People are invited to contact the school to share a memory via alumni@tgs.qld.edu.au.
