Caitlin Bartholomew, 18, has loved Star Wars for “as long as she can remember”.
She attended Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker at the midnight screening with her family last night.

Ms Bartholomew said her favourite movie was The Empire Strikes Back and that she loved bringing her favourite character to life.
“My all-time favourite character is Princess Leia because she is such a strong character and it is not just because she is a female, it is because she just has a strong presence on the screen,” she said.
“The (Princess Leia) costume belongs to my mother and it is surreal to put on a costume and have people see you and be in awe of the character and compliment you.”
Ms Bartholomew said she was not upset it was the last film in the franchise as the sci-fi blockbuster legacy would always live on.
“I am not too worried about that because I have heard there are TV shows coming to the Star Wars universe,” she said. “You can’t kill off fandom that is as big as Star Wars.”
