She had the idea of launching the food delivery app Townsville Delivery later but the pandemic forced her to launch it earlier.
Ms Kvatinsky said the app allowed her businesses to stay afloat and helped support neighbouring local eateries.
“It’s essentially a local food delivery service owned and operated by Townsville locals.”
While there are other services which do deliver food to customers at a touch of the button, Ms Kvatinsky said Townsville Delivery was the only local one.
“That’s really important, because really the money is going elsewhere (when other apps are used),” she said. “That’s why we created the app, because we’re trying our best to expose and push along local business.”
Ms Kvatinsky said more delivery drivers were needed.
“It creates local jobs.”
People using the app can deliver food from Balabite, Grandma’s, Miss Songs, Townsville Pies, Pizza Paradiso, Garden Cafe and Babbi’s Shawarma.
Delivery costs range from $7, with the delivery radius stretching 13km.
