Townsville accident: Four injured in two-car crash on Angus Smith Drive in Douglas

Four people have been rushed to hospital after a nasty two-vehicle crash on Angus Smith Drive in Douglas this morning.

Four people have been rushed to hospital after a nasty two-vehicle crash on Angus Smith Drive in Douglas.

Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed that four patients had been taken to Townsville University Hospital following the accident at 8.40am on Tuesday.

A QAS spokeswoman said they did not have ages of the victims or severity of the injuries, other than all were listed as stable.

Multiple emergency crews responded to the accident, including four paramedic crews.

The injured were taken to hospital in three ambulances from 9.10am to 9.30am.

Queensland Police Service said one of the vehicles had struck and disabled a set of traffic lights.

An Ergon Energy crew was also on scene.
