From models to gym owners, nurses and teachers — here’s a list some of the Cowboy’s powerhouse partners cheering on their beaus in the lead-up to the preliminary finals.
We’ve compiled a list of some of the wives and girlfriends who work so hard to help keep both their players on the field often while forging their own careers and raising families.
Marrissa Townsend, wife of Cowboys halfback and co-captain Chad Townsend
Chad Townsend and his wife Marrissa tied the knot almost five years ago on November 3, 2017.
The couple have four beautiful children together, Myra, Cairo, Miami and their newest bub Malibu who Marrissa only just recently gave birth to on Wednesday, September 14.
“Four beautiful blessings — our hearts are complete,” the proud mum posted on Instagram.
Rugby league has always been a family affair for Marrissa, her brother Scott Sorensen plays for the Sharks and her uncles Kurt and Dane Sorensen are former Cronulla greats.
Natalia Holmes, wife of Cowboys fullback Valentine Holmes
Natalia and Valentine have been married for three years and welcomed their son Billy late last year.
She’s an accomplished personal trainer who owns and operates First Base Gym with her sister Brianna Morgan in the heart of Townsville’s CBD.
When the female fitness studio opened earlier this year, Natalia told the Townsville Bulletin that they wanted to create a place where all women, including mothers, have a convenient, fun and welcoming space that allows them to fit exercise into their lives.
“We love seeing women find the time for themselves to be strong, healthy and feel confident,” she said.
Deanna Feldt, wife of Cowboys winger Kyle Feldt
The long-time sweethearts had been dating since early-2016 before exchanged wedding vows last January.
They welcomed their beautiful daughter Macie on February 18, 2022.
Deanna has been a constant in the stands, supporting her beau ever since he cemented himself as one of the Cowboys’ top attacking weapons.
When the State of Origin headed up north to Townsville for game one last year, Deanna spoke to the News Corp Australia ahead of Kyle’s first game on for the Maroons.
“Having had the opportunity to play last year and making the decision to pull out of the team was a hard one for him, but is so true to his character in always wanting to give 100 per cent and this year he has worked really hard and I couldn’t be more proud he has been given the opportunity to be part of the squad,” she said.
Jordii Mahendrarajah, girlfriend of Cowboys second rower Jeremiah Nanai
The rugby league power couple bought their first home together in Townsville this year.
The pair, who are just 19 and 20 years old respectively, purchased a four-bedroom house, which was listed for offers over $549,000.
An accomplished player in her own right, Cairns-born Jordii is a prop for the North Queensland Gold Stars Womens team.
She also previously played with the Queensland Women U19 side.
Mackenzie Falco, partner of Cowboys hooker Reuben Cotter
Reuben Cotter, 23, said he cried “tears of joy” after his partner Mackenzie Falco gave birth to their baby girl this year.
Their little ray of sunshine, Sunny, arrived on June 11 at the Mothers’ Private Hospital in Townsville just three days after Reuben made his Maroons debut in game one of the State of Origin.
Mackenzie, 25, is a teacher who graduated from James Cook University in 2019.
Brianna McLean, wife of Cowboys prop Jordan McLean
This long-time couple tied the knot on October 14, 2021.
They have two sons Archie and Texus and announced in June they will soon be expecting a third child.
Brianna works at the Mater Private Hospital Townsville.
In May, Mrs McLean told the Townsville Bulletin that she hoped to complete further study to become a midwife.
“I would love to help mums and families welcome new babies in the world,” she said.
“I think that would be an incredibly special job to have.”
Liana LaRiva, partner of Cowboys lock and co-captain Jason Taumalolo
It’s understood Liana and Jason have been together for well over five years.
The pair have dazzled on the red carpet together at the Dally M Awards several times, including in 2016 when Jason was named player of the year.
The couple built their first home together at the Brookstone on the Park estate in Townsville in 2016.
Their three-bedroom, two bathroom home, was one of two duplexes on the 718sq m block that were purchased by Jason’s parents in 2015.
In an 2017 interview, Liana gave the Townsville Bulletin an exclusive look at their modern, yet modest home.
“We are both quite busy with Jason always playing here or away and I work shift work, so our schedules can make it difficult to always entertain,” she said.
Oshah Rose Ianson, girlfriend of Cowboys fullback Scott Drinkwater
The loved-up couple appear to have been dating since their high school days at Terrigal High in NSW.
The stunning 23-year-old is regularly featured on Drinkwater’s Instagram, as the couple capture moments together at various events, festivals and weekend getaways.
Oshah is studying at Torrens University according to her social media.
Taylor Brunton, partner of Cowboys second rower Coen Hess
Townsville girl Taylor Brunton is Hess’ long-term girlfriend.
She is a trainer and assessor for a Registered Training Organisation.
The 25-year-old often shares her fitness and nutrition program with to her more than 10k Instagram followers.
She’s also models for StrongByMinx Activewear.
Tahlia Church, girlfriend of Cowboys halfback Tom Dearden
The adorable couple appear to have been dating since high school at Palm Beach Currumbin State High, where Dearden graduated in 2018.
Tahlia was there to cheer the halfback on when he made his debut for the Queensland Maroons in the final match of this year’s State of Origin.
“Watching you achieve everything you’ve worked so hard for has been unreal. I’m so proud of you,” she posted on Facebook after the game.
Ellie Carmichael, girlfriend of Cowboys hooker Reece Robson
Ellie, 22, and Reece, 24, have been dating for about a year now.
“1 year with my gorgeous girl, thanks for always putting a smile on my face, love you always,” the star hooker posted on Instagram.
Fedora Vuk, partner of Cowboys second rower Luciano Leilua
The couple have a beautiful two-year-old daughter together called Ida-Lynn.
Leilua’s beautiful little family have been regulars in the stands at Cowboys home games since he made the move up to Townsville from the Wests Tigers earlier this year.
Paris Needham-Brown, girlfriend of Cowboys centre Connelly Lemuelu
The 24-year-old Cowboys player announced in July that the couple will be expecting a baby in January next year.
