A man has allegedly run over a woman south of Townsville after pushing her out of the vehicle this afternoon.

A man has allegedly run over a woman south of Townsville after pushing her out of a vehicle this afternoon.
The man ran the woman down about 3.20pm, with paramedics treating the woman at Nome.
It’s believed the man fled from the scene on Bottlebrush Court, with neighbours looking after the injured woman.
The woman suffered minor injuries.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the woman was “sitting up, conscious and breathing”.
A spokesman from Police Media said the man driving the vehicle later handed himself into the Kirwan Police Station this afternoon.
The 29-year-old has been transported to the Townsville Watch house.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
