A neighbour has performed a citizen’s arrest after four youths crashed an allegedly stolen car into a Kirwan home.
About 6.20am, a grey Holden Commodore sedan crashed into the residence at the corner of Tapiolas Ave and Sabadell St.
Photos from the scene show the car was extensively damaged.

District Duty Officer Senior Sergeant Joe Matheson said a neighbour saw the crash and chased the four juveniles when they fled the scene.
“(The neighbour) chased and later apprehended one 15-year-old male in a nearby house with the assistance of others in the street,” he said.
Sen-Sgt Matheson said the neighbours held the teen until police arrived.
He said the vehicle was allegedly stolen from a Kirwan address yesterday.
The elderly residents at the Kirwan home were not injured, but in shock Sen-Sgt Matheson said.
“There appears to be some structural damage to the residence,” he said.
“The vehicle has been seized for mechanical inspection and the driver has been charged with dangerous operation and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.”
Three youths, both male and female, are still at large. Police are still investigating.
