Two good Samaritans who tried to help a man who died in Townsville’s CBD have left a bunch of flowers and a touching tribute.
The man, referred to as Dick on the card collapsed at the intersection of Fletcher and Flinders Sts about 6.30am Friday.
Paramedics attempted CPR but he could not be saved.
“Sorry we couldn’t help you mate. R.I.P Dick left this world on 15.5.20,” the note attached to the bunch of flowers reads.
The note was signed off by Sandy and Mausa.
District Duty Officer Senior Sergeant Darren Randall said police were treating death as non-suspicious but were “trying to piece together what brought him into the CBD and his activities prior to him being located in that unconscious state”.
