Seven North Queensland men have been charged with serious offences after a man was shot in the leg with a rifle at a caravan park.
In the early hours of Saturday morning, a 27-year-old man presented at Innisfail Hospital with a gunshot wound.
Police said investigations revealed earlier that day seven men turned up to a property off Evans Rd, Bramston Beach. One of the men was allegedly armed with a rifle.
A fight allegedly broke out between the group of men and another 59-year-old man, who was a resident of the property, resulting in the exchange of gunfire.
During the shootout a 27-year-old man was shot, causing a fracture to his lower leg.
Police will alleged the men involved all knew each other and had previous history.
