Second alleged stabbing in six days: Man rushed to hospital in Townsville

A man has been rushed to hospital with a stab wound to the chest following the second alleged stabbing to rock Townsville in six days. Here are the details.

A man has been rushed to hospital with a stab wound to the chest following the second alleged stabbing to rock Townsville in six days.

Emergency services responded to reports of a stabbing at a private address on Morehead Street, South Townsville, about 6am on Wednesday.

Paramedics transported a man to Townsville University Hospital in a stable condition with a wound to the chest, according to the Queensland Ambulance Service.

Police are making inquiries, and it’s understood no arrests have been made at this stage.

The incident is the second alleged stabbing reported in Townsville in recent days.

Another man was hospitalised with chest wounds after a separate incident on Beattie Crescent, Vincent, last Thursday.
