AN adult woman has been transported by rescule helicopter to hospital after crashing a scooter off a hill.

Emergency services were earlier called to a scooter crash at Arcadia on Magnetic Island on reports of a woman with a serious leg injury.

A QAS spokesman told the Bulletin that the rescue helicopter was tasked at 1.09pm to the scene, which was near Horseshoe Bay Rd, Arcadia.

The age of the woman is not known.

A QAS spokesman said the woman had been transported in a stable condition to Townsville University Hospital with a leg injury.

A rescue helicopter has been tasked for a woman who crashed a scooter down a hill on Magnetic Island.

Emergency services were called at 1.09pm to reports of an adult woman who sustained a serious leg injury in a scooter crash.

The accident happened at Arcadia on Horseshoe Bay Rd.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said the woman was now in a stable condition.

The rescue helicopter was tasked to the scene.
