Townsville real estate agents remain optimistic despite the uncertain economic times the world is navigating.
It is no doubt a hard time for many industries with the coronavirus pandemic and the implications for the property market are no different.
Real estate agents are employing new strategies to connect buyers to their dream properties during the strict lockdown measures.

Explore Property Townsville principle director Dean Dank said adopting new techniques was helping him.
“I sold a house on FaceTime last week to a man who was in lockdown in Melbourne,” he said.
“I have a handheld gimbal with a handheld trigger and it has a motorised turntable for my phone.”
Realesate.com.au recently set up a platform for real estate agents to upload their virtual walkaround tours to their house listing.
Mr Dank said he was preparing for his first digital auction using the software Zoom so as to abide by strict social-distancing measures.
“We have to adapt and people have to realise we have to be nimble in this climate and no, it won’t be perfect but this is the new normal,” he said.
“There might be a correction in how the market accepts things but that doesn’t necessarily mean it is going to have a devastating effect on prices.”
Mr Dank said despite the lockdown measures announced by the Prime Minister in March, the business recorded a strong month.
“We sold 29 properties in March and we listed quite well for the month, meeting our targets,” he said.
“In a good market or a bad market, real estate always sells and we have dealt with a tough market here for the last 10 years.”
In the last 30 days more than 400 properties were listed on realestate.com.au for sale in the Townsville region.
Explore Property Townsville real estate agent Annette Rowlings said she listed a property at Idalia a week ago that was drawing impressive interest online.
“We can watch (the listing views) with the Domain and realestate.com reports and we have seen that there are a lot of people looking,” she said.
“We don’t know how long this crisis will go on for but people still want to buy and sell houses.”
