Police have swooped on a stolen car and are pursuing a suspect after arresting three others.

An 18-year-old man has been charged after police made a series of arrests after swooping on a stolen car.

Police swooped om a Toyota CHR, which was stolen from Flinders St in Townsville on April 17, and took three into custody and pursued another suspect in custody.

The Toyota was picked up on Thuringowa Dr in Kirwan this afternoon.

It is understood some of the suspects were arrested along Charles St.

A Railway Estate man was charged with driving unlicenced and obstructing police. He is due to appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on July 22.
