Charters Towers: Man arrested after suspicious devices allegedly found in home

A 33-year-old man has been arrested in relation to an alleged domestic violence incident at Charters Towers.

A 33-year-old man has been arrested in relation to an alleged domestic violence incident at Charters Towers.

Specialist officers attended the area on Wednesday afternoon following reports of potentially suspicious devices that have since been rendered safe.

It was understood explosives were located inside a house and safely detonated before police released the scene on Thursday.

The man was taken into police custody just before 7pm on Thursday and was continuing to assist police with inquiries.

No one was physically injured and there was no threat to the public.
