Police probe circumstances surrounding fatal crash on Hornes Road, Charter Towers

A man has tragically died in hospital after being seriously injured in a motorbike crash in Charters Towers earlier this month.

A man has tragically died in hospital after being seriously injured in a motorbike crash in Charters Towers earlier this month.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating after a 68-year-old Broughton man died following a single-vehicle traffic crash in Broughton on March 14.

Emergency services were called to the crash along Hornes Road after the 68-year-old male motorbike rider was located unresponsive around 9.55am.

The man was transported to Charters Towers Hospital in a serious condition and was further transported to Townsville University Hospital.

The man sadly died due to his injuries on Wednesday morning.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash and is appealing for anyone who may have information to come forward.
