Woman entrapped following two car crash in Aitkenvale

A woman needed to be freed from the wreckage of a car that rolled in a two car crash in Townsville.

A woman was trapped in the wreckage of a vehicle following a two car crash in Townsville.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash at the intersection of Elizabeth St and Alfred St in Aitkenvale shortly before 9am today.

Paramedics assessed two patients, with one woman trapped in their vehicle.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the car had rolled but early indications suggested no one had suffered life-threatening injuries.

The intersection was closed.

One person was taken to Townsville University Hospital in a stable condition.
