The first ever petrol station for Bushland Beach and the second ever 7-Eleven for Townsville has announced its opening date.
The petrol station will unlock the doors on Tuesday.
Local Kai Nielsen is the new store manager and will be running a team of 12.
Mr Nielsen said his team is excited to supply northern beaches residents with Mobil fuels, convenience food (including Krispy Kreme doughnuts) and deliveries of fresh food seven days a week.
There is also a price lock feature on the 7-Eleven app which will apply to the Bushland Beach store.
“Our customers can download the My 7-Eleven app and use the fuel price lock feature to lock in a price on our fuel,” Mr Nielsen said.
“It means customers can choose to fill up using the price they have locked in anytime that suits them within the next seven days.”
Alongside the Krispy Kreme doughnuts will be handmade sandwiches, wraps, freshly ground coffee, slurpees, smoothies, frappés, shakes and pastries.
Just like the Burdell store, the Bushland Beach 7-Eleven is working with the Salvation Army to distribute excess food to residents experiencing food insecurity or homelessness.
