The COVID-19 isolation craze sweeping the world has caught on in Townsville.
Kelso locals Amanda Bartel and her son Troy have joined the “Bin Isolation movement” dressing up to put out the bins.
Five-year-old Troy dressed as a clown to drag his wheelie bin to the kerb on the weekend and his mum posted the video to the Facebook group.
The video racked up more than 200 likes and comments congratulating Troy on his creativity. Ms Bartel said the costume had “coincidentally” come in handy.
“I bought the clown costume online as a joke because they were having a dress-up day at school but it was cancelled,” she said.
“We had a lot of lovely comments from around the world and there are some really lovely people that are making people feel special during this time.”
Ms Bartel said Troy said he felt “funny” dressed as a clown but loved the attention.
