A nursing home in North Queensland is working to clamp down on a fresh outbreak of Covid-19 after a number of residents and employees recently tested positive.
Bolton Clarke has confirmed over the past week a number of employees and residents at their Cunningham Villas community in Bowen have tested positive to COVID-19.
“We are working closely with local health authorities and are continuing to closely monitor all residents for symptoms and to undertake precautionary testing,” a spokeswoman said.
“Most are now showing no symptoms.
“Our teams are experienced in infection prevention and control procedures and remain focused on the safety and wellbeing of our community, with rosters continuing as normal.”
She said Covid-safe protocols would apply for visitors during this time.
