A learner driver has been charged for drink driving on the Bruce Highway while being unaccompanied.
Police intercepted the car near Coolbie as part of a roadside breath test on Tuesday where the 23-year-old Hermit Park man returned a positive reading.
Further testing allegedly recorded a blood alcohol concentration of 0.102 per cent.
The man was charged with drink driving, learner driving unaccompanied, and immediately suspended from driving.
He is due to appear before Townsville Magistrates Court on September 30.

In a separate incident, police charged a 63-year-old Kelso man for drug driving.
Police will allege the man returned a positive drug test result after the man was stopped behind the wheel of a blue Holden Commodore on Charlotte St, Aitkenvale about 4.20pm on Tuesday.
The man is expected to appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on November 11.
