A late-night idea to reuse leftover material from an order has proven a hit with Townsville businesses.
Lamont Print and Designs is offering custom-made social distancing stickers free to help local businesses maintain a professional tone enforcing the restrictions.
Owner Stephen Lamont said he originally printed 80 stickers and showcased them on the company’s Facebook page.

“All the businesses I went to, they had taped Xs on the ground help people appreciate the distance,” he said.
“I thought, we can definitely do better than this.”
Mr Lamont said his son Daniel designed the stickers with two footprints with the message “COVID-19 social distancing 1.5m”.
Bounce Coffee on Ingham Rd was the first business to jump on board, ordering 10 stickers.
Owner Justin Humphrey said the stickers were an instant hit.
“I think they are great. They are a good constant reminder for customers and staff to practise those social distancing rules to keep everyone safe,” he said.
Lamont Print and Designs is going into “full production” after hundreds of people sent private messages through Facebook.
An extra 150m of material was purchased to make 700 non-slip R-11 floor prints.
Mr Lamont said printing the stickers was its way of helping business navigate lockdown.
“It feels like we are doing our part to help our city cope with this situation.”
