Two men who were taken into custody over the weekend as part of a dramatic police arrest have appeared in court.
Jeffrey Charles Holroyd and Danrick Dale William Possum appeared in the Townsville Magistrates Court where the pair pleaded guilty to breach of bail conditions.
Police were called to the DPSOA housing at Stuart with reports of an assault between the two residents on Saturday.
Police prosecutor Anita Page said the men had breached their supervision order by drinking alcohol with Holroyd returning a positive breath test of 0.19 and Possum returning a 0.16 result.

Defence solicitor for both the men, Nick Douglas told Acting Magistrate Peter Smid that Possum was suffering from injuries to his face.
“He was subject to the assault, your honour will see his nose and his eyes, so he is in quite a lot of pain, but he still accepts full responsibility,” he said.
Mr Smid told Possum he had only himself to blame.
“Sorry you have been assaulted that wouldn’t have been nice, but you have been breaching your orders a number of times,” he said.
“You are not supposed to drink any alcohol and you had quite a high reading,” Mr Smid said.
Both men were sentenced to three years’ jail wholly suspended with an operational period of 12 months.
