Isabella was named Under 14 Junior Surf Lifesaver of the Year at Surf Life Saving Queensland’s annual Awards of Excellence.
Isabella said she was honoured to received the state-level award.
“Six people were selected to be finalists in this and I was lucky enough to be one of them,” she said.
“It means I become an ambassador for Surf Life Saving Queensland.”
Isabella received the award in an online presentation on Wednesday night.
Isabella has already clocked up 23 hours of water safety and almost 40 hours patrolling Ayr’s Alva Beach.
On her first patrol, Isabella put her skills to the test when she rushed to the aid of four backpackers who were attempting to return to the beach from a sandbar.
