“I’ve loved that building. But it just got too big,” she said.
“With the stadium open (Palmer St) is more inviting. It’s a good place to be. We’re right next door to Simply Tops. ”
To celebrate the opening of the new store a grand opening will be held on September 12.
“We going to have $3 single scoops all day, which is nearly half price,” Mrs Orne-Gliemann said.
Local radio station 99.9 Live FM will broadcast live from the store.
Mrs Orne-Gliemann said the radio station was hosting a competition where people could win their height in ice cream.
She said two new flavours had been added. “The flavours are two vegan flavours, they’re so creamy you can’t tell.
“One’s a chocolate cookies and cream and the other is strawberries and cream tart,” she said.
There’s also a new mango sorbet made from Queensland fruit.
