With interest rates at a record low, now has never been the best time for first-time home investors or flippers to enter the property market.
There are some real bargains on offer in Townsville at the moment, featuring big blocks of land that are close to schools and shops, just waiting for the right buyer to invest their time and money.
Ray White Townsville sales associate Jake Vincent said dirt-cheap homes were “in demand”.
“The price is basically land value, so the home is an added feature,” he said.
“The potential with a cheap home is endless and can be tailored to suit your investment needs.”
Mr Vincent said buyers seeking cheap houses attracted a diverse market.
“Selling a home in the lower end of the market brings its challenges … buyers are very harsh on cheap properties, trying to get the best bargain they can,” he said.
“We are dealing with all different buyers (including) investors, flippers and emotional buyers.”
