With a fishy feeling he would catch a barramundi a cast away from the Queensland Country Bank Stadium, Marty Price made sure he wore his Cowboys shirt to get the best picture possible.
After recently losing his job to the coronavirus crisis, Mr Price took his daughter Billie fishing at a well known land-based spot in the city.
Targeting barra along Lowths Bridge crossing over Ross Creek, it wasn’t long before the father and daughter struck some luck.

The NQ Fishing Show presenter was able to spot his target under the street lights before hooking up.
Mr Price said they were able to catch a number of barra as the tide switched, with Billie out-fishing him by catching a good sized 91cm model.
“Billie is lucky,” Mr Price quipped.
But Mr Price didn’t do too badly himself, landing an 88cm model.
He had fished the spot for years and said soft plastic lures worked well.
“The ecosystem is basically unchanged with the multimillion-dollar stadium being built just 100m away,” he said.
