Emergency services respond to Bruce Hwy ‘explosion’

Emergency services have been called to what was reported to be an explosion on the Bruce Highway after a vehicle rolled.
Police and firefighters have arrived at the rollover at Nome, nearby the Bush Oasis Caravan Park.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said crash occurred near the intersection of Muntalunga Dr and the Bruce Hwy.
Park manager Fiona Lidgett said emergency services had arrived on scene and were directing traffic.
“It was just a loud bang, a massive bang,” she said. “It looks like a truck.”
The crash occurred on a 80km/h section of the Bruce Hwy.
The QFES confirmed there was no fire or explosion and the driver was free of the wreckage.
