Crystal Vas has announced the reason behind her mystery move from Star 1063 after deciding to try something different after 10 years on air.

Trading the microphone for the bullhorn, the former breakfast show host has accepted a role as the new Marketing Director for the Mad Cow Tavern and Buzuka.

Trading the microphone for the bullhorn, the former breakfast show host has accepted a role as the new Marketing Director for the Mad Cow Tavern and Buzuka Asian Restaurant and Piano Bar, owned by Mark Napier.

Ms Vas says she’s most excited about the great culture and bringing some fun, fresh new ideas that the venues haven’t seen before.

Even though the move from radio to event and venue marketing may seem like a leap, Ms Vas says the skills she has picked up over the past decade have been very transferable and have given her plenty of experience in promotion, marketing, writing and “a bit of everything.”

“My brain is exploding with ideas,” she said.

“It’s going to be a match made in heaven.”

For anyone looking to book a Christmas party at either venue Ms Vas is wasting no time and after a few relaxing weeks on the Gold Coast, she is ready to kick off the silly season in her new role.
