One of Australia’s most popular hip-hop groups has announced it will play in Townsville as part of a mammoth nationwide tour.

Bliss N Eso, known for hits such as Sea is Rising and Moments, will perform at the JCU Uni Bar on January 28 as part of The Sun Tour, featuring 29 shows across Australia.

The announcement of the tour coincides with the group’s seventh studio album The Sun being released on Friday.

Bliss N Eso had planned their Send It Tour for September, but Covid-19 restrictions and border closures made the tour impossible, leading to its recent cancellation.

All tickets purchased for the Sent It Tour will be transferred to their latest venture, and the group is promising fans and new listeners an experience like never before.

Bliss n Eso are set to perform in Townsville

“We have been busy working away on this new album for some time now,” the group said in a statement.

“Being able to perform these new songs live on stage with you beautiful people in the crowd is the ultimate reward.

“We’ve got so many new bangers on this album that we can’t wait to take for a spin for the first time with you guys.

“Those new tracks combined with all our classics is gonna be one hell of a ride. We’re gonna tear the roof off and send it to the sun.”

Bliss N Eso have three No. 1 ARIA albums to their name, more than half a billion all-time streams and more than 400,000 album sales to date.

The Sydney hip hop heavyweights started headlining major shows in 2017 with the national Off The Grid tour.

They will visit other North Queensland venues including Cairns, Mackay and Airlie Beach.
