B-double catches fire on Bruce Hwy at Rollingstone

A truck travelling on the Bruce Highway has caught fire causing delays to traffic north of Townsville.

Firefighters have a truck fire on the Bruce Highway at Rollingstone under control.

A truck travelling on the Bruce Highway has caught fire.

Firefighters were called to the fire at Rollingstone near Lilly Pond Creek shortly after 6pm.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said the fire was now under control.

An exclusion zone was established around the blazing B-double but traffic is now being allowed through.

There were no reports of injuries.
