A kebab shop has been evacuated following a suspected gas leak.

A kebab shop has been evacuated following a suspected gas leak.

Firefighters were called to a group of shops on Edwards St, Ayr at 5.36pm.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said the gas supply had been isolated and firefighters were testing the atmosphere for flammable gas.

The Damala Kabab shop was evacuated in the process.
