THE first university course offers have gone out to students with thousands learning where they will be continuing their studies in 2021.
New Charles Darwin University paramedic science student Melissa Maillis said her offer made her day.

“It was the first thing I noticed this morning on my phone and I was extremely happy and excited,” she said.
“I had a feeling it was going to happen, I’ve had all positive feelings about the process but it just made my day.”
Ms Maillis will be one of the first students ever to study her course at CDU after it was announced in December last year.
She said once the course came up, she knew it was right for her.
“It wasn’t something I’ve always wanted to do, I’ve always worked in the medical field and am always trying to better myself,” Ms Maillis said.
“I thought (paramedic science) would be more suited to me than any other profession in the industry and thought I’d give it a go, everything’s gone so smoothly so far.”

CDU has seen an influx of applications for students hoping to begin studies in March, with an increase of 20 per cent compared to the same time last year.
