Tennis bad boy Nick Kyrgios has finally got himself a grand slam — but maybe not the one he was looking for.

The 24-year-old publicity magnet has become embroiled in yet another drama after his $300,000 black Dodge Demon smashed into a power pole in the ACT’s northern suburb of Bonner yesterday afternoon.

Friends of the controversial world number 28 tried to force a photographer to delete images of the crash’s aftermath.

The Dodge appeared to have mounted the kerb near a roundabout before slamming into the pole.

Witnesses said Kyrgios “ was looking really stressed and getting things out of his car” before Australian Federal Police ACT arrived about 3.30pm.

In video obtained exclusively by The Sunday Telegraph, Kygrios is seen talking to police officers and three other men near corner of William Cooper Ave and Mulligans Flat Rd.

“The car would have been doing a burnout because there were skid marks all over the road,” a witness, who did not want to be named, said.

“The area is notorious for people driving erratically.”

An Australian Federal Police ACT spokeswoman said: “AFP officers attended the scene and issued a traffic infringement notice for negligent driving.”

This offence carries a $385 fine.

Police sources said Kyrgios was not driving at the time of the accident and it was unclear whether or not he was a passenger at the time of the crash.

Kyrgios bought a Dodge Hellcat in 2017 but sold it a year later.

In 2018 he purchased the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon — one of the rarest and most powerful cars in the world — and had it imported from the US and modified to meet Australian standards. It is one of only four in Australia.

He lives near Bonner and sources said he often lets his friends drive the vehicle.

A photographer taking pictures 150m away claims he was approached by five young men who were associates of the tennis star and urged to delete the photographs of the crash scene. Kyrgios remained at the crash scene and did not approach with the other men.

Kyrgios is two weeks into a into a six-month probation, punishment for smashing two racquets and abusing the umpire before spitting on court.

He faces a 16-week ban from matches and a $37,000 fine if he steps out of line in the next six months.
