Revealed nominations for Logies 2023

Tasmanian based actress Marta Dusseldorp has been nominated for a TV Week Silver Logie for her work on The Twelve.

Dusseldorp was announced as a nominee for the TV Week Silver Logie for Most Outstanding Actress for her role as Lucy Bloom in the drama series.

“It’s super exciting,” she said.

“It will be nice to get back to the Logies, I really enjoy it.”

Her co-star Sam Neill was also nominated for Most Popular Actor and Most Outstanding Actor for his role as Brett Colby in The Twelve.

“He’s also Most Popular, so he’ll love that because he’s such a beautiful man who loves people. He’s just an absolute delight,” Dusseldorp said.

Dusseldorp said she dedicates her nomination to Brian Walsh who passed away earlier this year.

“He was the head of drama at Foxtel and he personally asked me to be in The Twelve,” she said.

“For me, this is a beautiful memory and I dedicate the nomination to him.”

Actresses Pallavi Sharda and Brooke Satchwell were both nominated for Most Outstanding Supporting Actress for their roles in The Twelve and Hamish Michael was also nominated for Most Outstanding Supporting Actor.

The Binge series was also nominated for Most Popular Drama Series and Most Outstanding Drama Series.

After playing some of the most iconic Aussie TV characters, Dusseldorp has added filming in Tassie’s rugged west coast to the list.

Last year, Dusseldorp co-created, produced and starred as Anika van Cleef in ABC drama Bay of Fires. The series has been touted as the largest production filmed in regional Tasmania.

Bay of Fires is about a mother moving to a mysterious community with her two children because they’re in grave danger.

The Tassie-noir thriller Bay of Fires will premiere on July 16 at 8.30pm.
