The Spirit of Tasmania will be doing extra sailings and has reconfigured the layout of its ships to accommodate more passengers.

On Friday, a TT-Line spokesperson said it would continue to adjust its vehicle decks to create more availability of high space on sailings for caravans and motorhomes from January to April next year.

The company believes this would likely clear the bulk of the current waitlists.

“Typically, adjustments to high-space availability are made closer to each travel date,” a TT-Line spokesperson said.

“However, TT-Line has decided to apply these adjustments to all sailings in the first four months of 2025 to provide more flexibility and convenience for our passengers.

“Priority was given to night sailings, as they have the greatest waitlists.

“TT-Line has already cleared more than 200 waitlisted bookings in the initial stages of this change and will continue working to optimise bookings, with extra consideration given to high-space travel needs.”

The Spirit of Tasmania operators also said they would consider adjusting their day sailing schedule for January to April 2025.

“Further, the company has introduced additional sailings for April, September and October 2025 that are now available to book.

“Spirit of Tasmania has 158-day sailings scheduled for the current financial year, with 138 scheduled for November 2024 through to April 2025.”

TT-Line says changes to the deck formation on the Spirits will not impact freight.
