One morning run for a woman turned into a nightmare after a man assaulted her near the city.

A morning run for one woman ended in a fright after a man grabbed her from behind.
At 8.10am on Thursday, a woman was jogging along a footpath that runs parallel to the train line near Coglin Street at Brompton.
The woman ran past a man – who was walking in the same direction – and was assaulted soon after, allegedly by the same man.
The woman managed to break free and escaped uninjured.
She alerted police immediately, prompting the Western District patrols to search the area.
Police were unable to locate the suspect.
The man is described as of caucasian appearance, aged in his late 40s to early 50s, 178cm tall with a medium build, a beard and short-straggly black and grey hair.
At the time he was wearing a dark jumper, tan pants and a tan-coloured backpack.
