Gusty winds have swept across South Australia, as air currents reached up to 70km/h and ripped off roof sheets, trees and a pergola in its wake.

The State Emergency Services have revealed to The Advertiser that their crews have responded to 71 Requests for Assistance between Friday and Saturday 3pm.

A SES spokesman said “the majority of these Requests for Assistance were for trees down” where trees and tree limbs fall over or for “severe weather impacts” like loose roof sheets.

According to the BOM, Sunday weather will reach a top of 17C, bringing a high chance of showers and winds reaching maximum speeds of 20 to 30km/h.
