According to the business’ Facebook and Instagram accounts, which started in 2018, the Salyphaethy Thai Boxing Gym in Marrickville, NSW opened to train both beginner and pro fighters in the Sydney area.

“Authentic Muay Thai and Boxing Gym that offers the best training in Sydney to Fighters and Beginners,” the Facebook page’s description reveals.

The last post made to the Gym’s social media sites was in 2020, saying the “fights are slowly starting up” again during the pandemic.

A website address listed for the business leads to an empty page.

In court on Wednesday, Magistrate Paul Foley heard the prosecution would allege Mr Iliev had launched an attack on two vet clinics in revenge after the daughter of the business owner told his fiancee about his alleged affair.

Police prosecutors told the court Mr Iliev’s “planned” attacks on two clinics owned by the same family were out of revenge – their daughter had told Mr Iliev’s then fiancee about the other woman he had allegedly been sleeping with.

The Pets Health Hilton Vet has since provided an update on the building after it was set ablaze, saying they hope the clinic will be open and functioning again after Easter.

“On the morning of 7/3/24, an (alleged) arson attack occurred at our Hilton clinic,” the business posted on their website.

“Fortunately, no patients or team members were present during the incident. Currently, we are evaluating the extent of the damages and diligently working towards the prompt restoration of our services.

“Our goal is to resume client services in some capacity after Easter 2024. Stay tuned for further updates!”

Mr Iliev will return to court in June.
