Two men have been arrested after being caught drink-driving a golf buggy through Adelaide

Two Victorian men have been arrested after drink-driving a stolen golf buggy on a busy street in Adelaide’s CBD. See the CCTV footage.

Two men from Victoria have been arrested after they were caught driving a stolen golf buggy on King William Rd.

Police patrols stopped the buggy, stolen from Hackney Rd earlier in the night, before 4.45am on Saturday.

The 44-year-old driver was asked to submit a breath test and returned a positive reading of 0.133.

He has been charged with drink driving, illegal use of a motor vehicle and driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.

The passenger, a 37-year-old man, has been charged with illegal use.

Police said the pair will possibly be bailed later today.

Meanwhile, a 26-year-old man has been arrested after he was caught driving on the wrong side of the South Eastern Expressway.

Police allege that patrols were called to the freeway, near Bridgewater, at about 5.40am after reports of a white Holden Sedan travelling on the wrong side.

The car caused minor collisions while evading police before road spikes were used near the Mt Barker interchange.

The Adelaide Hills man has been charged with endangering life and dangerous driving to escape a police pursuit.

He was refused bail and will appear in court on Tuesday.

This comes as a stolen car was set alight at Kilkenny in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police and the metropolitan fire service were called to Pinda St at about 12.30am after reports a Mitsubishi was on fire.

The car, which was stolen on Friday from Ottoway, was completely destroyed despite the MFS extinguishing the fire quickly.
