A truck driver has managed to escape from his truck after it crashed in Adelaide’s east overnight.

A truck driver has managed to escape after his truck crashed into a light pole and rolled at Medindie Gardens on Saturday morning.

The 24-year-old Norwood man escaped without injury when his refrigerated truck rolled on Main North Rd, near Sherbourne Rd at 2.30am.

The truck left the road, hit a sign, tree and then a light pole before rolling onto its side causing moderate damage to the truck.

The 24-year-old was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital as a precaution.

One lane for southbound traffic was restricted while emergency services waited for a tow truck.

Traffic has now resumed.

Investigations are continuing into the crash.
