The man expected to be charged with the murder of “loving” Mount Gambier local Rachel Moresi will be extradited to South Australia.
Troy James, 53, appeared before the Warrnambool Magistrates Court on Friday afternoon.
Mr James did not fight the extradition order.
The court heard police had authorised a murder charge but Mr James had not been formally charged at the time of his court appearance.
The extradition comes as part of an investigation into the death of Mount Gambier local Rachel Moresi, 55 who was found in her Pick Ave, Mount Gambier unit just after 1pm on Wednesday.
Mr James will be moved to the Mt Gambier police station.
The court heard he had used meth in the past week and was taken to hospital on Thursday night after a self harm incident.
South Australian police continue to investigate her death, which is still a mystery but declined to release further details.
