The Amazing Race leaves its mark on AFLW Crows stars Chelsea Randall and Marijana ‘MJ’ Rajcic

They didn’t win $250,000 on the hit reality show, but Crows players Chelsea Randall and Marijana “MJ” Rajcic found something much more valuable.

They fell heartbreakingly short of the $250,000 grand prize on The Amazing Race but SA footy stars Chelsea Randall and Marijana “MJ” Rajcic have found love.

The Adelaide Crows players started dating just a few weeks before filming the popular Ten reality show and did not want to put any pressure on their new relationship by labelling themselves as partners heading into the race around Australia.

“The best and beautiful thing that occurred was the fact that we were able to spend quality time with one another, without being distracted by phones,” Randall said.

“And share such an amazing experience – that was the greatest gift the race gave us, time with each other. I’ll be forever grateful.”

MJ laughed, adding that usually the race pulled people apart.

“The beauty of us is we communicate really well and we just have fun and both love adventures,” she said.

“We complemented each other when it came to different challenges and being able to overcome things together. I loved it.”

The pair was eliminated last night with just seconds separating them from the last team.

It was made even more gut-wrenching as they had overcome being handed a U-turn card, meaning they had to do a second challenge while others headed for host Beau Ryan at the pit stop at Duck Reach Power Station in Launceston.

But asking for directions from a local, instead of checking the address in the envelope, meant they were just pipped at the post.

MJ, who had long dreamed of taking part on the show, said: “You can see our smiles every day with every challenge.

“I was just so excited to finally be on the show and doing it with my best mate was just the best thing.”
