Port Lincoln teen arrested after alleged armed robbery at bottle shop

A teenage boy has been arrested after an Eyre Peninsula bottle shop was robbed at knifepoint on Saturday.

A teenage boy has been arrested after allegedly robbing an Eyre Peninsula bottle shop at knifepoint.

The 16-year-old local went into the Port Lincoln bottle shop about 2pm on Saturday and threatened security staff with a knife before stealing seven bottles of alcohol, police said.

No was injured and police were able to arrest the boy shortly after the incident.

“The stolen alcohol was returned to the store and a knife was seized by police,” SAPOL said.

The teen was charged with aggravated robbery and refused bail.

He is expected to face court on Monday.

The shop’s management has been contacted for comment.
