A new health centre and pharmacy, open every day, could soon be built in Adelaide’s western suburbs.
The proposed development lodged by Midwest to the State Planning Commission revealed a 920sq m, single-storey community health facility to be built along the southeastern corner of the intersection of William St and Port Rd in Beverley.
Health professionals and patients will have access to a 306sq m radiology area with four consulting rooms, a treatment room, office/administration area and a waiting room.
A 199sq m pharmacy, 327sq m consultation area with four consulting rooms, and 36 parking spaces – including two accessible parking spaces is included in the plans.
The facility would be open between 6am to 12pm on Monday to Friday, and 7am to 8pm on Saturday and Sunday.
It will be built next to the existing ProHealth Care Midwest Medical facility at Beverley, about 5.3km northwest of Adelaide city.
The site’s previous owner Beverley Car Sales stopped operation in early 2024, and was later demolished leaving the site vacant.
The expected completion date for the project has not yet been released, however the plans are available for public consulation until Wednesday, February 12.
