Mum, Tameeka Mesecke said: “We truly believe that my husband’s brother sent us our little miracle baby.

“Once we found out we were pregnant, the doctor told us the baby wasn’t due until January 11, but in a meaningful twist, Zedikai came a week earlier,” she said.

“To our surprise he came on January 3 which is significant because Isiah’s birthday is on March 3.”

“The number three, it just means so much in my partner’s life.”

The 24-year-old mum said she never had an opportunity to meet Isiah, but she feels like she knows him through her baby.

“I’ve only known my husband for two years, so I never actually met my husband’s brother,” Ms Mesecke said.

“But, I loved learning about him through the stories.

“I think it will be really special to learn more about Isiah as our son grows up.

“He’s only a baby at the moment, but eventually he’ll understand how meaningful his birth is for us.”

The connection between Zedikai and Isiah does not end with their birthdays.

Mrs Mesecke said that the people who knew Isiah see a strong resemblance between the two boys.

“Everyone – especially my husband – says that Zedikai is like Isiah,” she said

“Obviously Zedikai is only nine weeks old, but he’s already smiling and giggling and he’s just so cheeky.”

Leticia Hewett, mother of Isiah has also described her son to have similar traits as her grandson.

Ms Hewett said she remembered her son like a positive ray of sunshine in everybody’s life.

“He (Isiah) was such a beautiful young man with a heart of gold, who always did what he could for those around him, regardless of what was going on in his life,” Ms Hewett said in 2022.

“I miss his smile and the things that he would do to make everyone laugh, he was just a beautiful soul.

“The pain is unbearable.”
